Challenge Ranch

brings a new kind of spirit to East County, San Diego. 

The 10 acre ranch is home to:

25 Challenge Ranch Horses

  Throughbreds, Arabs, Welsh, Tennessee Walkers, Mustangs, & Quarter Horses 

1 Mule

Countless Memories

Riding lessons from novice to advanced levels are held within the arena. 

After gaining sufficient experience, riders can participate in show jumping, mounted games, cross country events, and trail trials. 

Outside competition is welcome to regular horse shows held at Challenge Ranch.

All activities are arranged year round and riders are encouraged to try all types of Equestrian Activities.

When riders have gained sufficient horse knowledge and riding ability they are allocated "their own horse" and can attend Summer Camp, a week of great trail riding and camping out with the horses at a San Diego Horse Camp.

Riding is taught by qualified enthusiastic and experienced instructors who truly enjoy working with young people. 

The Ranch has a 1/2 mile trail around the rim of the property to give riders a safe introduction to trail riding. 

More challenging trails are throughout the property for those with more experience. This includes a cross-country course with a variety of natural obstacles utilizing the different terrain. 

Regular events are held at Challenge Ranch throughout the year.
