Volunteer
All the great work that is accomplished through the non-profit Challenge Ranch, Inc. relies
upon private donations.  The trainers, assistants and Board of Directors for
Challenge Ranch
Inc.
donate their time without compensation because of their dedication to helping
under-privileged children.  See our
financial statement for 2010.
Volunteer with ranch maintenance:

We have volunteers come out the 2nd or 4th Sunday of each month between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
working on basic ranch maintenance and special projects.  Projects range from light ranch
work such as sorting ranch supplies, weeding, or painting to heavy duty projects such as
digging three by three holes to put in posts, moving hay bales, or cutting down trees.  NO
HORSE EXPERIENCE NECESSARY.  If you need volunteer hours/community service, we can
sign off on these hours.

If you would like to help or volunteer
on a Sunday with our program, please contact us
(619-445-0598) before coming to ensure that we are having volunteers out.  Occasionally the
week may change due to an event or Holiday.  The only volunteer Sunday in December will be
12/18/2011.
Volunteer with the horses:

Right now, we are also looking for people to volunteer with the horses.  We are looking for
people both with horse experience and those without.  For those volunteers who have horse
experience, you will be welcome to ride the ranch horses.

Volunteers are needed weekdays and weekends.  If you are interested in volunteering with the
horses, please
contact us via the web form letting us know a little about yourself, you horse
experience (none needed), how often you would like to come out (could be a little as once a
month), any questions you may have and a way for us to get in contact with you.
